Data collected

y2keep uses a browser session cookie to associate conversions with your current session and show recent history on your device. When you submit a link, the URL and related job metadata are temporarily stored to process and deliver your conversion. If you become a Supporter via Ko-fi, the shop email and generated license key are stored so the key can be emailed and redeemed.

Purpose of data use

Data is used only to run conversions, display session history, diagnose errors, and keep the service reliable. Personal information is not sold. No signup account is required to convert. Optional Supporter license keys purchased via Ko-fi store the purchaser email, key, expiry, and up to three device session ids so Supporter can be redeemed and managed.

Cookies and session data

The session cookie lets y2keep remember your recent conversions in the same browser. When you activate a Supporter key, that same session id is bound as a device on the license (maximum three). You can clear cookies in your browser settings, which removes the association with past session history on that device and may end Supporter access on that browser until you redeem the key again.

Data retention and cleanup

Session history, temporary conversion artifacts, and related job records are removed on a scheduled cleanup cycle. Converted files are typically deleted within 24 hours. Error reports you submit voluntarily may be retained longer to investigate and improve the service. Supporter license records (email, key, expiry, device bindings) are kept for the life of the license so you can reclaim access on a new device.

Third-party services

To complete a conversion, media may be retrieved from third-party platforms you link to. Optional analytics or support widgets, if enabled on the site, are governed by their own privacy policies and are not controlled by y2keep. Ko-fi processes Supporter shop purchases; Resend may be used to email your Supporter key after payment.

Your choices

Most converter use stays tied to your browser session without a signup. If you become a Supporter, you can remove device bindings from the Supporter manage dialog or stop using the key. You can stop using the service at any time, clear site cookies, or avoid submitting links you do not want processed.
